Rugby Art Gallery and Museum's nationally known Rugby Collection of 20th century and contemporary British art was established in 1946 and now holds more than 170 important paintings, drawings, prints and film works.

This year, for the first time, Rugby Art Gallery and Museum intends to show every work from the collection in an exhibition designed to showcase the breadth, variety and vision of the fine art collection in Rugby.  In what will be an ambitious and vibrant display, visitors will have the opportunity to view every single piece of work that has come into the collection since its inception, revealing works that haven't been shown for a number of years.

The collection holds works by Eduardo Paolozzi, Stanley Spencer, Walter Sickert, Barbara Hepworth, Bridget Riley and L.S. Lowry. The collection is not on permanent display but visitors can see a selection of works in our annual exhibition.  Visitors and researchers can also view the collection by appointment.

The Floor One Gallery is a space available to hire for self-organised exhibitions of visual, craft and media. Artists and makers from Warwickshire and beyond can hire the space for two-week exhibitions. Contact us for more details on 01788 533201 or ragm@rugby.gov.uk

Guided tours are operated from Rugby School bookshop, located in Barby road. The guides take visitors on a fascinating discovery tour, bringing to life the school's impressive buildings and history. Tours leave the bookshop at 2pm every Monday.

Please note that tours are liable to change, and cannot always operate due to school exams, special events, weddings et cetera taking place at the school. We strongly recommend calling the school to make sure the tour will operate.
